“To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.”
-Eleanor Roosevelt
It is one thing to recognize and control our emotions but the real challenge lies in in our interactions with others and how we handle varying situations involving them. When we use our head to deal with things that may have a positive or negative effect on us, logic, intellect and common sense play a significant part in influencing our behavior.
When we interact with others things need to be done through our heartfelt thoughts and actions. We need to display a sense of compassion, understanding and most importantly give unconditional love when others need it the most. Its not about fulfilling our needs but the needs of others. This can be our family, friends or colleagues. In a sense this when we need to let our empathetic side really shine through. This really improves our skills in becoming more socially aware.
