The Tie That Binds

“It takes courage to choose hope over fear…The path forward is to bring people together, not push them apart.”

-Mark Zuckerburg

It has often been said that fear is in the eye of the beholder. While this may be true, so is the belief in hope. With hope we have that innate desire that things will turn out for the better. This requires inner strength and it is up to the person who is experiencing that feeling of hope to make things happen. Courage is a necessary component of hope: the courage and belief that anything is possible. On the other hand all that fear really needs doubt: doubt in yourself, doubt in others, doubt in what the outcome can be.

Both fear and hope require effort. Fear deplenishes our confidence, will and and all around well being which unknowingly pushes people away for us. Hope however  replenishes our spirit and not only builds on the areas that fear doesn’t but creates an energy that gives off a sort of aura that draws people closer to you. Remember that strengths  in numbers can become a powerful entity and it is because of this that hope lives, thrives and its flame can never be extinguished as long as we believe and trust the process. In the words of Tug McGraw “Ya gotta believe!”

When we choose fear we chosen a pathway of broken dreams where others have travelled when they let fear decide their destiny . When we choose hope we are choosing to forge our own pathway, the road less traveled and one that will inspire others to  follow and join us on this journey. Its better to travel together than travel alone and can bring much needed change to make this world a better place.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing relationship skills in your own life?
