“Be kinder to yourself. And then let your kindness flood the world.”
Kindness is something that this world needs more of. I think we can all agree on this. No matter what is happening in our lives we should always take the time to be kind: kind to others and especially kind to ourselves. American nun Pema Chodron’s quote reaffirms us of something we should already know and remember: We must be kinder to ourselves and when we do this let that kindness flood the world.
We are beautiful people both inside and out. We are perfectly flawed and that is more than ok. When we take care of our physical and emotional well being each and every day this shows the kindness needed towards ourselves. It sets the tone for the day and allows for us to pay it forward to others. Remember we never know what others may be going through in life and just showing one random act of kindness can be that difference needed to turn someone else’s day right around.
Kindness is superpower that is within each of us if we choose to intentionally use it. It is within our control at all times. Kindness, when you give it to yourself and to others can serve as the spark to not only reignite your life but also reignite the lives of others to be the change we wish to see in the world.
