Our Moral Compass: Simplicity and Contentment

“Nature teaches us simplicity and contentment, because in its presence we realize we need very little to be happy.”

-Mark Coleman

In life we are ultimately seeking happiness. What American mixed martial artist Mark Coleman points out in today’s quote is happiness lies within. It isn’t something that can be bought or given. He uses the example of nature and when you really take a moment to think of this specific example, it can bring you that happiness right away. All the beauty within this world from the mountains to the ocean can give you that happiness that you seek. You just need to open your heart and mind. Nature has that simplicity and contentment if you look hard enough. And to be honest if we look at our lives in that same manner, I believe that simplicity and contentment is there too which brings forth that sense of happiness that we all seek.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards improving your self awareness?
